Cromolyn sodium 2.0% w\v
This medicine has a local activity; mainly it prevents the release of intermediate material of allergic reaction from mast cells after the binding between antibody-antigen. It prevents as well the delayed allergic reactions.
Wash your hands thoroughly. Tilt your head back or lie down on a bed and with the aid of the finger pull the lower eyelid slightly away from the eye. Instill the medicine into the gap, and keep your eyes closed for 1-2 minutes. Do not blink.
If you think the drop was not absorbed, instill another drop. Clean the solution around the eye with a pad.
To prevent contamination of the eye drops, take care not to allow the tip of the bottle to come into contact with any surface including the finger and the eye itself, and close the bottle tightly after use.
Do not use this medicine for more than one month after the bottle is first opened.
Recommended dosage unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor:
Adults and children over 12 years: 1 drop in the eye 4 times daily at specific time intervals or as instructed by the attending doctor.
Dosage for children: 1 drop in the eye 2-4 daily at specific time intervals.
Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
This medicine is to be taken at specific time intervals or as determined by the attending doctor.
Do not use this medicine if you are sensitive to any of its ingredients.
Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
