Effervescent tablets for reducing the viscosity of mucus and facilitating its excretion in respiratory disorders.

Active Ingredients

Each effervescent tablet contains:

Acetylcysteine 200 mg.

Indications

Therapeutic group - sputum viscosity reducer (mucolytics).

Reolin reduces the viscosity of sputum and eases its excretion in respiratory tract disorders.

Instructions

Do not swallow the tablet. The medicine should be swallowed in the correct manner - before taking the tablet, dissolve it in a glass of cold or warm water, and drink it as soon as it dissolves.

The generally accepted dosage is:

Accepted dosage in adults and children above 14 years of age:

One tablet, 2-3 times a day.

Accepted dosage in children from 6 to 14 years of age:

One tablet, twice a day.

Accepted dosage in children from 2 to 5 years of age:

Half a tablet, 2-3 times a day.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Take this medicine with or after food.

After first opening the tube the medicine should be used for up to two years from the day of opening. In any case, however, do not use after the expiry date that appears on the package.

Warnings

Do not use the medicine if you are aware of hypersensitivity to any of the medicine’s ingredients including hypersensitivity to acetylcysteine.

Do not use the medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Do not use Reolin before consulting the pharmacist or doctor if you are suffering, or have suffered in the past, from impaired function of: the respiratory system (e.g.: asthma), the gastrointestinal system (e.g.: ulcer), bloody sputum.

The medicine is intended for adults and children above two years of age.

Below 2 years of age refer to the doctor.

Wait a period of at least 2 hours between taking Reolin and taking tetracycline antibiotics (this warning does not apply to doxycycline).

If you are taking, or have recently taken, other medicines, including nonprescription medicines and nutritional supplements, tell the doctor or pharmacist in order to prevent hazards or lack of efficacy arising from drug interactions. You should especially tell the doctor or pharmacist if you are taking:

• cough or cold medicines

• antibiotics

• nitroglycerine

 

The preparation contains lactose and may cause allergy in people who are sensitive to lactose.
