Salina Gel

About Dryness of the Nostrils

The nasal wall is composed of epithelial cells, named mucosa. The main functions of these cells are to secrete mucus to humidity and filter inhaled air and assist in preventing the entry of infectious agents such as dust, pollen pollution and bacteria. These agents stick to the mucosa, andallow this way a smooth inhalation process throughout the nasal passageway.

Under certain conditions the ability of the nasal epithelial cells to secrete mucus and filter inhaled air may be impaired resulting in a sense of dryness in the nose causing discomfort, pain or sneezing. This is due to the penetration of dust to the lower respiratory airways. Moreover, infectious agents may have entered into the nasal airways increasing the possibility of infections.

Salina Gel is an isotonic water based saline nasal moisturizing gel that relieves dry, irritated nasal passages caused by cold and allergy medications, dust and low humidity.

Salina Gel ensures the normal function and wellness of the nasal cavities.

It contains sea salt in isotonic concentration (similar to the salt concentration in the healthy tissue) and moisturizing agents that preserve the healthy function mucosa and restore the system's ability to filter and treat inhaled air through the nose.

Composition:

Purified water, hydroxyethylcellulose, sodium chloride, methyl & propyl hydroxybenzoate sodium, hyaluronic acid.
