Bliyabelet
Bliyabelet

A solution for treatment of warts. It is used to cauterize common warts (Verrucae vulgaris).

$32.40

Active Ingredients

A vial with 0.5 ml solution contains: Monochloroacetic acid 297.5 mg.

Indications

Bliyabelet is a preparation for the treatment of warts.

Bliyabelet is used to cauterize common warts (Verrucae vulgaris).

Instructions

Bliyabelet is secured by a child-proof cap. The vial is opened by simultaneously pressing on and turning the cap. Always store the Bliyabelet vial in an upright position, tightly closed and out of sight and reach of children!

The solution should not come into contact with clothing or textiles.

Bliyabelet solution is strongly caustic and is active even in very small quantities. Only a small amount of solution, which may even not be visible to the naked eye, adheres to the spatula. If you have any doubt, dip the spatula into the solution and strike the spatula over a piece of paper. You should be able to see a thin line on the paper. The paper should be disposed of immediately afterwards.

The monochloroacetic acid is absorbed quickly by the skin and infiltrates the deeper skin layers. Before starting treatment, the healthy skin surrounding the wart must always be covered with a well-adhering, viscous ointment or paste (e.g. Vaseline or zinc paste) to protect it from Bliyabelet's strongly caustic effect. This is the only way a spreading of the acid on the skin will be prevented and a resulting tissue damage will be avoided. As swelling after use of Bliyabelet cannot be ruled out, tight jewelers worn close to the area to be treated, such as a ring, should be removed before application.

Place the folding box with the Bliyabelet vial, which is placed within the perforated opening on a stable, solid basis. After opening, dip the spatula into the Bliyabelet solution. Afterwards apply the solution on the wart. Because Bliyabelet is strongly caustic, the amount of one spatula once per week is enough to achieve the desired result.

Never apply more than one spatula quantity!

Never treat the wart more often than once a week, even if you can barely see the film!

The maximum surface to be treated is 1.4 cm x 1.4 cm. If there is more than one wart in this area, treat only one wart and wait until it has healed before treating the other warts.

The cells destroyed by the corrosive effect of Bliyabelet will take on a whitish colour after a while and will be rejected by the body. Do not remove dead tissue mechanically prior to application, since even minor skin injuries may lead to inflammation.

In skin areas other than soles of the feet and palms of the hand, the treated wart should be checked more often for skin irritations since the strongly caustic effect of Bliyabelet can cause scarring.

Application of the solution to parts of the body that are difficult to reach ( e.g. the soles of the feet ), especially in patients with limited mobility , should be carried out by an assistant. The same applies in cases of impaired fine motor functions ( e.g. hand tremors , stiff knuckles).

Allow the Bliyabelet solution to dry for about 5 minutes and then remove the ointment or paste around the wart.

The average duration of use is 5 weeks. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist if you feel that the effect of Bliyabelet is too strong or too mild.

Use in children - Only a doctor may use Bliyabelet in children under 6 years of age. In older children, an adult must apply the solution.

Healthy skin that accidentally comes into contact with Bliyabelet must be rinsed immediately with plenty of water for a long time. This is also necessary if you have no symptoms in the first minutes because Bliyabelet may cause serious chemical burning and burnings ( up to 3rd degree). Immediately visit a doctor if skin irritations appear despite thorough rinsing. The doctor will treat the affected parts as burns using conventional topical therapy.

Warnings

Bliyabelet must not be applied in following cases:

  • If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to monochloroacetic acid.
  • If the application is at the facial region (never allow the solution to come into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes of the nose and mouth)
  • In the genital area
  • On wounds or injured warts
  • Immediately after the operative excision of a wart by means of a scalpel or electric knife (electrocauterizer), after freezing of the wart (cryogenic surgery ), subcutaneous bleomycin injection , or laser treatment. (This applies, in particular, if the skin is reddened or sore after this treatment. In this case, you must wait at least 4 weeks until the reddening or inflammation of the skin has completely healed. Only then can Bliyabelet treatment be started).
  • For the treatment of birthmarks and senile warts
  • If you have a known tendency for scarring ( keloids )
  • During pregnancy
  • By women in whom pregnancy cannot be ruled out certainly
  • While lactating

Special care must be taken when applying  Bliyabelet if there is any doubt regarding the diagnosis (e.g. skin changes that cannot be clearly identified as warts) , in cases of immune deficiency (e.g. if you are taking cytostatic drugs).

Bliyabelet should not be applied without medical supervision to patients with diabetes mellitus, polyneuropathy, occlusive vascular disease or other disease accompanied by reduced blood flow and/or limited sensitivity. In these cases a doctor or appropriately trained qualified personnel should apply the Bliyabelet solution.

Bliyabelet contains the strongly caustic active substance monochloroacetic acid. Owing to its toxic (i.e. poisonous) properties, its effects can be fatal if completely swallowed by children- especially small children weighing less than 15 kilograms. Users are urgently warned to keep the product out of sight and reach of children, especially of small children. Rule out any possibility that children will come into contact with Bliyabelet unless it is through proper use.

If you are taking another drug concomitantly or if you have just finished treatment with another medicine, inform the attending doctor, in order to prevent hazards or lack of efficacy arising from drug interactions.
