Each caplet contains:

Acetylsalicylic acid 250mg

Paracetamol 250mg

Caffeine anhydrous 65mg

Indications

Acamol Focus is used as pain reliever for conditions such as: migraine, headache, sinusitis, cold, muscle pain, menstrual pain, toothache, mild arthritic pain and pain accompanied by fever.

Instructions

Do not chew, crush or divide the caplets! Swallow the medicine with a glass of water.

Take this medicine with or after a meal.

Do not lie down for 15-30 minutes after taking the medicine.

Dosage, unless otherwise directed by the physician:

Adults and children over 12 years of age:

2 caplets every 6 hours.

Do not take more than 8 capsules in a 24 hour period.

Do not take the medicine for more than 48 hours for migraine.

Do not exceed the recommended dosage.

If the fever continues for more than 3 days or if there is no pain relief within 5 days, refer to your doctor.

Warnings

This medicine is not intended for children and infants under 12 years of age.

Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breast feeding.

Do not use this medicine if you are sensitive to any of its ingredients or to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Do not use this medicine if you suffer from a bleeding peptic ulcer, hemorrhages, hemophilia, gout, stomach problems (active peptic ulcer) or from asthma in combination with rhinitis and nasal polyps.

Do not use Acamol Focus in children or adolescents under 20 years of age suffering or recovering from illnesses accompanied by fever such as influenza, chicken pox (for fear of Reye's syndrome).

Do not use this medicine if after taking an analgesic or fever-reducing medicine you have ever suffered from the following effects: urticaria (rash with swelling), swelling of the face, asthma, and shock.

Do not drink wine or alcoholic beverages while undergoing treatment with this medicine.

This preparation contains aspirin which like other preparations from the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) group may increase the risk of developing stomach ulcers especially in the following cases: patients being treated with anticoagulants, steroids, other NSAIDs, in prolonged treatment or with alcohol consumption.

Paracetamol may cause liver damage in the following cases: administered at a higher dosage than the recommended one, administered for a prolonged period of time, consuming alcoholic drinks during the treatment period, taking other medicines which affect liver function. Do not use this preparation frequently, or for a long period, without consulting a doctor.

Do not take additional fever-reducing and pain-relieving medicines or medicines for common cold without consulting a doctor or a pharmacist, in order to prevent paracetamol over dosage/toxicity.

During treatment with this medicine caffeine intake must be limited.

This medicine may interfere with the results of blood glucose tests.

Do not take this medicine for 7 days prior to any surgery.

Do not use this medicine without consulting your physician before commencing treatment: if you are suffering or have suffered in the past from impaired function of the respiratory system (like asthma), from nasal polyps, the heart and/or vascular system (such as hypertension, arrhythmias), the liver, the kidney/urinary tract, the digestive system (e.g. ulcer), the blood system (e.g. coagulation disorder, etc) or if you suffer from alcohol addiction. If you suffer from headaches on a daily basis, if the headache was caused by injury, cough or bending down, if you are above 50 years old and are experiencing a headache for the first time and/or if you your headache is accompanied by vomiting, fever and/or stiffness in the neck.
