Indications

Therapeutic group: Antihistamine.

Livostin eye drops is intended for immediate and long-lasting relief of eye symptoms, such as irritation, redness and tearing associated with allergies to grass, pollen, mold, dust and other substances.

Instructions

Do not swallow! This medicine is intended for external use only.

Livostin eye drops come as a suspension; therefore, the bottle must be shaken well before each use.

Directions for Use: Before the first use of the eye drops, completely remove the covering of the ring sealing the cap.

Wash your hands. Shake the bottle well, before removing the cap. Tilt your head back as far as you can. Using your index finger, pull the lower eyelid downward to create a sort of "pocket". Instill one drop into the "pocket" that is formed. Close your eyes gently. Do not blink. Leave your eyes closed for 1-2 minutes. Repeat the steps above for the other eye.

To avoid infection, do not allow the tip of the bottle to touch any surface ( including the eye itself ).

In order to avoid transmitting the infection, the same bottle of medicine shall not be used by more than one person.

Keep the bottle closed tightly.

After using the medicine, wash your hands thoroughly in order to wash off remnants of the medicine.

The usual dosage in adults and children ( above 6 years of age ) is generally:

one drop of Livostin per eye, twice dally. If the symptoms are very bothersome, you can apply one drop per eye, 3 or 4 times a day.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Do not use Livostin eye drops for more than 8 consecutive weeks.

If the symptoms worsen or persist for more than 48 hours without a significant improvement, despite Livostin treatment, refer to a doctor.

Use within one month of first opening the bottle.

Warnings

Do not use Livostin eye drops if you are sensitive (allergic) to the active ingredient or any of the additional ingredients contained in the medicine.

This medicine is not intended for children under 6 years of age.

Before treatment with Livostin, tell the doctor if you wear soft-contact-lenses. As with all eye drops that contain benzalkonium chloride (a preservative), it is recommended not to wear soft

contact lenses when using Livostin eye drops.

If you are pregnant, or may be pregnant, inform the doctor, who will decide if you can use Livostin.

Do not use Livostin eye drops while breastfeeding without first consulting your doctor.

If you are taking another drug concomitantly or if you have just finished treatment with another medicine, inform the attending doctor, in order to prevent hazards or lack of efficacy arising from drug interactions.
