Active Ingredients

Each enteric coated tablet contains:

Acetylsalicylic acid 100 mg

Indications

Therapeutic group: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAlDs).

Inhibition of platelet aggregation.

This medicine is intended for the primary prevention of coronary heart disease in patients at high risk and the secondary prevention of thrombotic cerebrovascular or cardiovascular disease.

Instructions

Do not chew! Swallow the medicine with a glass of water, preferably after a meal. Since the medicine has enteric (protective) coating, the tablet should not be chewed or broken.

Do not retain this medicine in the mouth for a period longer than that required for swallowing it.

Dosage is according to doctor's instructions only.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Recommended dosage unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor:

One tablet daily.

This medicine s not usually intended for children and adolescents.

This medicine is to be taken at specific time intervals, as determined the doctor.

If you forget to take this medicine at the specified time, take the dose as soon as you remember; but never take a double dose to compensate for a missed one!

Warnings

Do not use this medicine if you are aware of any hypersensitivity to one of its ingredients or to other medicines from the same group or if you had an allergic reaction when taking any analgesic

Do not use this medicine in hemophilia patients, in cases of a tendency to bleed, a drop in the platelet count (thrombocytopenia), severe heart failure, severe kidney disease or cirrhosis of the liver.

Do not use this medicine in patients suffering from peptic ulcer.

Do not use at dosages higher than 100 mg per 24 hours in the last trimester of pregnancy.

Do not use this medicine if you are suffering, or have suffered in the past, from gout.

Do not use this medicine in children and adolescents without consulting a doctor.

Stop taking this medicine at least 5 days prior to any surgery, including dental surgery, unless otherwise directed by the doctor.

During periods of prolonged treatment with this medicine or treatment at high dosages, blood tests and liver and kidney function tests should be performed.

Caution should be exercised when taking concomitantly with other non- steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as well as with anticoagulants (except for low-dose treatment with heparin).

If you suffer from allergies or from asthma, the risk of side effects such as angioedema, asthma attacks and urticaria increases.

Aspirin may affect thyroid test results. Consult the doctor accordingly.

Do no drink wine, beer or other alcoholic beverages while under treatment with this medicine.

Do not take the medicine without consulting a doctor before starting treatment in following cases:

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you have a known deficiency of the enzyme G6PD.

In children or adolescents in case of diseases accompanied by fever, such as viral diseases, particularly chickenpox and influenza (for fear of Reye's syndrome).

If you are suffering, or have suffered in the past, from impaired function of the heart and/ or vascular system, the liver, the kidney/urinary tract, the digestive tract (e.g. ulcer), the blood system (e.g. coagulation, etc.),the respiratory system(e.g. asthma, prolonged obstructive diseases of airways, hay fever or nasal polyps).
