Swiss Relief Spray Gel - Active Ingredients

Composition:

Diclofenac sodium 4%.

Indications

Therapeutic group:

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Therapeutic-activity:

Swiss Relief  Spray Gel is intended for local relief of pain and inflammation following acute trauma of joints and periarticular structures.

Instructions

Do not swallow the medicine! This medicine is intended for external use only.

Recommended dosage unless otherwise instructed by your doctor:

Swiss Relief Spray Gel is a solution, which turns to a gel like consistency when sprayed on the skin. Apply up to 5 pump strokes on the painful or swollen area and massage gently the solution into the skin at the treatment area. Can be used up to 3 times a day at set intervals, up to a total of 15 pump strokes a day. Do not use for more than 7-8 days without consulting your doctor.

If there is no improvement in your condition within 3 days refer to the doctor.

After spraying the medicine on the skin wait a few minutes until it dries before covering the skin with any item of clothing or dressing the area. Rinse your hands after the application, unless the hands are the affected area.

Do not use an occlusive dressing.

Avoid contact with the eyes or mucosal tissues.

Warnings

Do not use this medicine if you are sensitive to any of its ingredients or to any other NSAID (for treatment of pain and inflammation), or if you suffered from asthma, difficulty breathing, rash or allergic rhinitis after treatment with aspirin or other NSAIDs.

Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Do not use on open wounds or irritated skin.

Patients who are suffering, or have suffered in the past, from bronchial asthma or an allergic disease may experience bronchospasm.

Diclofenac sodium, the active ingredient of Swiss Relief Spray Gel, may cause liver damage during prolonged use. An elevation in liver enzymes may occur which requires cessation of treatment following consultation with the doctor.

Do not use this medicine frequently, or for a prolonged period, without consulting the doctor.

Do not use this medicine over wide areas without consulting the doctor.

This medicine is not generally intended for infants and children under 15 years of age.

Do not take this medicine without consulting a doctor before starting treatment:

If you are suffering, or have suffered in the past, from impairment of one or more of the following systems: the respiratory system (e.g. bronchial asthma and/or allergic disease), the liver, the kidney/urinary tract, the digestive system (e.g. stomach ulcer or inflammatory bowel diseases).

This medicine may cause special sensitivity if the patient is exposed to the sun or tanning lamps. Therefore, avoid exposure to the sun and take appropriate precautions (long clothes, a hat, protective creams, etc.).

If you are taking another drug concomitantly or if you have just finished treatment with another medicine, inform the attending doctor, in order to prevent hazards or lack of efficacy arising from drug interactions. This is especially important for medicines belonging to the following groups: aspirin or other NSAID's for treatment of pain and inflammation.
